Our approach

This has always been about being user led and the user’s experience of the Internet. Our work with people with varyingdisabilities to explore Internet resources highlighted the need for an automated tool to clarify industry specific language (jargon).

Word Bank has been developed with:

• Industry leaders (GLA, DRC, Mencap, RNIB, Becta and LMU) drawing upon their specific knowledge, resources and expertise.
• People with high communication support needs to provide a product with a high level of accessibility – although Word Bank is not a disability specific tool.
• Continual research and evaluation
